The PMD is like a bigger, flashier cousin to the BWO. When a bunch of these guys decide to hatch all at once, it's like a mayfly party on the water. The fish go wild, because suddenly there are tons of these tasty bugs everywhere – flying around, swimming below, and even some halfway in and halfway out, trying to shed their skins. It's a feast for the fish, and a great time for fly fishers to try and catch them.
