The Truckee River basin covers over 4,700 square miles and straddles the California-Nevada border. Major cities in the Truckee River Basin are Truckee, California, and Reno and Sparks, Nevada. Although many consider the Truckee River to be the main fishery of the region, there are hundreds of streams and rivers to explore in the basin.
