Fishing Reports
Good flows, cool water and bugs are popping this week. We are happy to see these spring storms really help our otherwise lack luster winter as we enter the first days of summer. It’s tough to tell how long these ideal conditions will last however, and this will probably come down to how warm and dry the dog days of summer will end up being.
With one small day of unsettled weather expected tomorrow and then right back to normal weather patterns through the next week, we have seen these prolonged spring conditions really help with the lack of snow seen this winter. Water temps are still hovering in the mid 50’s on the river and flows remains stable. Needless to say, the trout have been reacting very positively to this, and the fishing remains good along most sections of the Truckee, The Little Truckee and our local creeks as we come into the longest days of the year.
As we see the majority of our spring runoff subside and flows begin to taper off on most of our waters, we are now in the first bit of summer fishing conditions and most of our waters will be seeing...
