High-elevation lakes are a great option this time of year where fish are less prone to these warmer days. Fishing on the Truckee will be best at first light until 9-10 depending on water temps.

The Little Truckee also has some good flows for this time of year and will be running a lot colder than the main river due to it coming out of the bottom of stampede reservoir.
